About the event
Join us for "A False Sense of Security –The State of Penetration Testing," a presentation by Gene Abramov.
Most organizations rely on security assessments and penetration testing from a trusted third party with “security experts” or “ethical hackers” on staff. The intention is to have an experienced and objective third-party evaluate your security posture and provide value through identifying material security flaws, exploiting them and providing recommendations for both remediation and improvement. The harsh reality is that in many cases, trusted third-parties are falling short, leaving their customers short-changed and vulnerable. We’ll explore the reasons this occurs, how to prevent this in your organization and even expose some of the things that most firms won’t tell you.
Gene is a Co-founder and the CEO at Depth Security. He has over 20 years of information security experience that includes all aspects of network and application security. From security assessments to engineering and strategy, his deep understanding of the security landscape and his ability to execute bridges the gap between offensive and defensive security. Over the past decade, Gene has worked closely with Depth Security’s clients to improve their security postures through assessment, strategic planning, and expert execution of information security related initiatives.
