Topic: What is the Secret to Being Cyber Secure?
Speaker Bio: Rob Bennett has served in a variety of leadership positions focusing on Security Operations & Business Continuity since 1993. Roles include a 12-year stint as the Director of IT Operations for a global telecommunications company, implementing video and VOIP communications systems and ITIL-based business and security processes.
Roles in the past have included Sr. Security Engineer, Vice President of Architecture and Security in the Financial Industry, served in Director of IT and Security Operations positions with multiple service providers over the past 8 years while also spending7 years in consulting roles with several companies seeking to attain industry certifications for SAE16, SOX, FISMA, PCI, ISO and other industry specific certifications.
Rob also served in the United States Marine Corps as an Aviation Electrical Engineer charged with maintaining navigation, tactical, and weapons systems with other duties that included Embarkation, Quality Assurance and Security for both physical and computing responsibilities. Rob also attained honors as his units Marine of the Quarter and the Secretary of Defense Award for Maintenance Excellence among other awards and citations.
Rob currently resides at Lake of the Ozarks with his retired racing greyhounds.
